They get lumped together, but they do completely different things. Here is how to tell which one your goal actually calls for, often it is both.
Different tools for different problems
The simplest way to think about it: neuromodulators relax, fillers replace. Botox-type products soften lines caused by muscle movement. Fillers restore volume that has been lost over time. If you try to fix a volume problem with Botox, or a movement line with filler, you will be disappointed, which is why the right diagnosis matters more than the product.
What neuromodulators do
Neuromodulators (Dysport, Jeuveau, Xeomin, Letybo) temporarily relax the muscles that create dynamic lines, the creases that appear when you frown, squint, or raise your brows. Think forehead lines, the frown lines between your brows, and crow's feet. Results last about three to four months. See our guide to how long Botox lasts.
What fillers do
Dermal fillers (Versa, Evolysse, and collagen-stimulating Sculptra) add volume back to static areas, the places that look hollow or folded even when your face is still. They smooth deeper folds, plump and define lips, and restore cheek contour. Depending on the product, results last anywhere from several months to well over a year.
Why many people use both
A common plan combines the two: neuromodulator to calm the muscles pulling on your upper face, and filler to restore volume where you have lost it. The combination often looks more natural than overdoing either one. If you are not sure what you need, a consultation sorts it out quickly, and we will never sell you something that will not help. Our pricing page has current rates for both.

Questions
Frequently asked
Can I get Botox and filler on the same day?
Often yes. Many patients have both in a single visit, and your injector will sequence and place them for the most natural result. We confirm the plan with you first.
Which is cheaper, Botox or filler?
They are priced differently: neuromodulators are per unit (from $9), and filler is per syringe (from $450). Your total depends on your plan, which we estimate up front.
Which lasts longer?
Filler generally lasts longer, from several months to over a year depending on the product, while neuromodulators last about three to four months.
